Hi has anyone near Exeter a spare HS4SU Carb they would lend me for a couple of days? I used to have a spare but sent it to a Club Member (at the time) as he was desperate. Sadly I never got paid for it or the considerable postage to send it. I guarantee the carb will be returned with grateful thanks if not a few cans. Cheers Chris.

There used to be a carburettor specialist in Sticklepath, but I can't find them now. Maybe they are no longer trading?MOC member since 05/97

Re: Hs4 carb
Hi Cameron, thanks for your suggestions and offer. Looks as if I may have solved my problem after isolating the servo things were a lot better, so it seems its a servo I will need. Have to admit that even with the servo disconnected braking was still adequate, or maybe I just have a heavy right foot. Copy red -roadster you are correct about twin HS4s on the 1800 if my memory serves me correct. I almost for fun considered fitting an A40 manifold and downdraught Zenith to see how it performed. I remember years ago racing an A55 as a F1 Stock car with a downdraught and it went very well considering. Thanks again to all for your input and I will let you know what transpires. Cheers Chris.
