Don't leave it outside Dave, it may frighten the neighbours!

Got fed up with chassis rust bashing - it's like eating an elephant, best done in small bites - so just for a change I've been tanking too, Andy !

I've been doing a bit, honest - unfortunately there have been some other more important things to do, but finally a fully painted chassis sees the light of day.

....................and yes Franklin, it's now hidden away again !

Ben, the windscreen did eventually come out in one piece so I reckon I have won the bet and claim my half of shandy.

I'll take a paper template of the screen whilst it's out, someone/somewhere/sometime may have need of one

What a difference several coats of paint make. Looking good. Liz

Template sent to Hasse some time back. Anyone else want a paper copy ?

More tedious derusting and coats of paint. The dirty lump is the next task

Not wishing to rain on anyone's parade but if memory serves there are at least 3 different screen types for the Roadster...and I'm not sure they align to Triumph/Hybrid/Marina donors..!
How different they are I'm not sure...
Others may have more info (Ben perhaps..?)

                        ps...nice work DC

Been away a while, back on it now. Today's pics, all needs tightening/torqueing and tie wrapping. I really will start on the engine/box next

                            Re the screens
When I had a replacement screen from Marlin back in 86 it was labelled" type 3" my kit is a hybrid but really don't know what would be type 1 or 2 there doesn't seem to be much difference but probably enough to cause trouble when fitting. Best bet is to make a stiff template out of hardboard or ply.
Ben Caswell probably not the last word on anything here!!

Many thanks Ben, you've saved me from an elementary mistake - these bolts are now the correct way round (so that the shocks can be easily removed if there is a future need to do so)

Another update - found the trolley on ebay for £5 + diesel to collect = £20ish, a real snip as with a top on it's great, but I must remember high CofG and to be very careful if moving it with wheels on full lock !
T'other pic is "Nanook of the North" (no it's not ALL fat, mostly multi layering to cope with cold) and I think maybe the hat should say Humbug and not Hamburg !
