  • PayPal Recurring Billing – membership renewals are Automatic

Please be aware that after paying by PayPal another year’s membership will be taken on the anniversary of joining. PayPal payment is a "recurring" billing process. Members are billed automatically each year. The club is told that the payment has been made and membership is automatically renewed. In this way the entire membership management process comes to be automated.

In the unlikely event that you want to leave the club you must opt out. PayPal provides the ability to cancel recurring subscriptions from within the PayPal user's account. When this is done the club is notified about the cancellation and the member’s invoice is marked as "Cancelled". The member will still have full access to the web site until the paid membership period expires.

You must not pay manually a second time as you will be charged twice - annually.

There are a number of benefits to recurring billing for members. Benefits to the club include not having to distinguish between those who have left and who have forgotten.

People, like me, who are used to using PayPal for one off purchases, may not be familiar with the reoccurring billing facility.

    Hi
The same thing can be said for banks. If you do decide to leave PLEASE cancel your Direct Debit or similar as the club cannot.
