  • Brake Master Cylinder Leak

    Hi

my mechanic has discovered the cause of the girling fluid leak and brakes problem, it seems that the brake master cylinder leaks fluid in the brake pump.

I'm trying to find a new one on ebay but it seems impossible.

It's the higher one in the image, with the girling fluid tank.

The lower one is ok and it's the master clutch cylinder.

    Can you help me please?

      Re: Brake Master Cylinder Leak

I think that maybe a 1.7 O Series engine from the Morris Ital. But the master cylinder may well be the same on both the Marina and Ital anyway. So try looking for both and also on other BL cars, you may find a match.

that actually looks like a mk1 ford escort one! Also fitted to all sorts in the 70s.
        Something like...
        Girling MC 120

        273

A quick look on ebay found this...

On the Fastmarinamagazine forum, talk to marinacoupe otherwise known as Chris Weedon. He has a stock of most of the marina brake/clutch hydraulic parts.

But certainly it looks a bit odd for a Marina!
