  • flexable coupling steering shaft

    when I fit the replacement coupling it has a steel band round it, do I cut that off after fitting?.

    Triumph or Marina?
    Top flex on a Marina, or bottom UJ?

      yes the band comes off AFTER fitting - dont do it before or you will never get it in place whatever the car or coupling - that's how its done

        sorry I forgot to say it is for a marina top flex, thanks for reply.

          Standard part for a Triumph 2000 / TR4 / TR6.

          Some are sold without the band, it is a struggle to fit as the fixing centres of the coupling are nominally larger than the steering shaft ends.

          The easy solution is to find a large, wide jubilee clip or two attached together, but it can be done with G clamps.
