  • Sportster Tow Bar.

Has anyone put a tow bar on a sportster?
I had a quick look under a week or so back and I don't think I can fit it to the fuel tank or exhaust.
Any experiences pictures advice etc welcome.

Not familiar with the Sportster chassis or when your car was first registered but you should be aware that!

Quote taken from a tow bar advice site "
European Law now states that all light passenger vehicles registered on or after 1st August 1998 require a type approved tow-bar tested to EC94/20 and tow-ball with suitable D&S value. This is not retrospective and does not affect any vehicle registered before this date.

Fitment of a non type approved towbar on a vehicle registered on or after 1st August 1998 could result in prosecution and in the event of an accident the vehicles insurance could be invalidated."
Ben Caswell probably not the last word on anything here!!
