    what is the best type/way of fitting door handles.

    Hi, i have the same problem and i will fixed it with drive-in nuts for wood or spot weld nuts.

      This all depends on if your having to comply with current SVA regulations. The SVA requires a two stage release system and the latest roadsters (YKC and Aquilla) had a special lock. Otherwise a standard mortice latch in the door with a classic door handle works. You then mount a striker plate on the body return as per original build manual.

        Just looking for locking handles (as mine sometimes fly open), and found these on ebay - they look like direct replacements for the ones commonly fitted and cheaper than CBS, Europa etc.

          Below are the originals that were supplied by Marlin.

          As you can see the handle shaft needs cutting down to size and the lock has three threaded nuts welded on as the lock is only supposed to attach in three places.

          A picture of the strike plate is also included.

          I will scan the section out of the manual so you can see how they all go together.

          As stated these are all standed except for the Marlin welded nuts.
