  • re license on french plate

Does anyone know whether a roadster could be re-registered on a french plate if I chose to live in France.
    Thanks for listening

Re: re license on french plate

It has been done on the old registration as a historic vehicle with the help of the local (French) car club and a few evenings in with the town mayor! I do know you need a certificate of permanent export from the DVLA.
Ben Caswell probably not the last word on anything here!!

I drove my Roadster to Gibraltar way back in 1993 and had it registered there. I did have to butter up the MoT man as the exhaust discharges on the side which didn't go down too well in the narrow streets!

Much has changed since 1993 and 2006, the first thread.

Unless you have a good understanding of the local language, and an understanding of the matriculation requirements, or have a contact who has both.

            Not so easy..
