  • Wheel, wheel nuts and wheel Studs

Time for a question and answer
    1 What are the wheels?
2 What are the Wheels nuts?
3 What are the Wheel studs?

    The info you have
1 It is a Marlin Roadster with Marina front and back axles complete
2 The wheel nuts are 3/8" UNF Thread 1.5 " long and the plain portion is 5/8" diameter and 3/4" Long.
3 The wheel Studs are 3/8" UNF Threads 1.375" long and the hole in the hub is 1/2" diameter.

Any Info on the above would be welcome. The engine and gearbox are Alfa Romeo.

Wheel, wheel nuts and wheel Studs 2

Hi DJ not sure why first thread was closed but my answer is:-

1 The wheel any clues on the back?? cant match that one.

2 The nuts look similar to ealy Dolomites that had alloy wheels later cars had 7/16th unf

3 The studs are normal marina/Triumph Herald etc.
Ben Caswell probably not the last word on anything here!!

Re: Wheel, wheel nuts and wheel Studs 2

I have "opened" this thread and moved Ben's answer here from a second thread.

I will delete the second thread as it is not now required.

I found this on the web:
Other cars with the same 4 x 3.75” (95.25mm) PCD (Pitch Circle Diameter).
        Austin: Marina
        Lotus: Elan, Europa, Seven
        Triumph: Herald, Spitfire, GT6, Vitesse
        MG: Metro, Montego, Maestro, MGF
        Formula Ford Racers

        Can you confirm the PCD?

Re: Wheel, wheel nuts and wheel Studs 2

IIRC Rover 100/Rover Metro (i.e. K series engines) are 3.75"...Austin/MG Metro (i.e. A series engines) are 4" (as per Mini)...
          Marlin Roadster, LWB...1860 B Series + Ford Type 9
Renault Espace 54mm front calipers, vented discs, cycle wings and adjustable tie-bars.
