Yep, here are mine, if you go electronic ignition then there is a company who can supply a converter which I have fitted to my tacho. All works a treat.

The white one goes to the ignition switch and the white and green goes to the coil.

Many wiring diagrams can be found on Keepandshare here or there

BL cars and the Marina generally follow Lucas colour codes here or there

A common joke is that you should never let the smoke out of the wires. If smoke escapes, the electric controls will cease to work, a can of Lucas smoke is available to inject back into the wiring!

The white goes to the ignition switch, you mean 12v power supply?

The wiring diagrams and Lucas colour codes, say a (+ 12v) supply from the ignition switch,

[Listerjp2 will doubtless correct me if I am wrong.]

No correction required, go with what Steve said.

Good luck and enjoy your car.

                    Re: Tachometer Morris marina 1,8

I just thought I would do a quick search on FastMarina forum.

i thought I had read something on there about fitting a tacho about a year ago.

Its always worth keeping up to date with them. I’m not sure why more Roadster owners are not regular contributors or readers there.
