    Re: Another unfinished Roadster

Not previously registered so the major challenge to get through the IVA makes it an unattractive proposition, doesn't it?

A good source of spares though and I see one seat base with Gareth’s name on it :-)

If anyone on here buys it I would be happy to take the hood frame and supports off your hands.

Might be worth a punt with DVLA to try for the old reg using sellers information about a
single car donor and the number plate etc as evidence ? ? ?

It will after all still be the same as many other Roadsters

It's never been on the road as a Marlin though DC. So, as I understand it, it would need to go through IVA, which others have suggested is cost prohibitive for a Roadster.

If we can find enough people who want bits we can make a bid. Anyone want an MG engine? :-)

                  Re: Another unfinished Roadster

It's now identified as an Aug 1983 car, in Paul Moorhouse chassis book as a "2+2" which I think in some
respects was a sales ploy before the Berli came out and just another way of describing a LWB car.
From the pics it looks to me like any other LWB car.

Here's an excerpt from an Oct 1982 PM letter to a customer.

...and a pic of a (still unidentified) "2+2" car seating to illustrate the idea

Was this from the school of thought that goes along the lines of: "It's easier to do it and ask for forgiveness then to ask for permission first"?

What are your plans for it? Any chance of the hood frame and body sockets?
