I have a very good Ford escort estate/ van tank, and I am located near junction 4 of the M5.

I made my tank myself when I build my Roadster in 1985. I based its dimensions around the original marine Sender. I fabricated it out of 16 gauge mild steel sheet using heavy duty angle and a large engineers vice to form the bends. It was seam welded by a welder at work using the then ubiquitous packet of fags economy, cost me 20 Bensons. I pressure tested it at 5 psi which blew the welding deformity out of the tank top surface. Capacity is about 7 Gallons.

    Regards to All.

Apologies that I don't check the Forum more frequently. The tank in the first pictures is almost certainly a 'Steve Holder Special'. I have recently replaced mine with an aluminium copy. If you want more info please email andrew@wheelspin.info. I am in Cheltenham so you're welcome to come and view my car.
