  • Steering rack stops?

Are steering rack stops required on a Marina based Roadster to stop the tyres contacting the bonnet sides?
I haven't seen them mentioned anywhere but thought it worth asking whilst I am in the process of rebuilding my steering rack. Easier to do it now than later!

    Cheers, Robin

Not something I have ever come accross, despite stripping several Mk1 and Mk2 racks and replacing the internal bush.
